The lodge’s Annual Banquet was held this past December 3rd at
Clear Creek Scout Camp. We had an excellent guest speaker in Mayor
Ted Biggers who is a former lodge chief and
vigil honor recipient
of our lodge. The officers of the past year were recognized Frank Sturges spoke as the past lodge chief. The officers for the new
year were introduced and Dustin Counts spoke about the coming
year.
Frank Sturges and Gus Mandrapilias received the
O.A. Crenshaw
Arrowmen of the Year Award. Frank had an amazing year as he began
by being elected lodge chief and then moved on to become section
chief. Gus is the adviser to the Elangomat committee and the new
ceremony ring committee.
The Founders Awards were presented to Dustin Counts and Staton
Boyette. Dustin is the current lodge chief and has held other
offices within the lodge. Staton has served for several years as
the adviser to the finance committee and is a past recipient of
the O.A. Crenshaw award.
Upon the suggestion of the Lodge Executive Board the lodge voted
on several changes to the by-laws of which 17 of the 19 were
approved. The current by-laws will be in the planbook and can be
found on the lodge website.
It was a fun event and I hope to see more of you at our next
annual banquet this coming December.
