The site of Iowa State
University in Ames Iowa and the Dates of July 31st through August
6th marked an unforgettable week of experiences for seventeen of our
arrowmen. This was the week of NOAC, National Order of the Arrow
Conference. Great times were had by all everything from patch
trading to freebie collecting to scuba diving was available at NOAC
this year with countless available trainings ranging from Leadership
to Indian Lore to a Ceremonies were present to partake in. There
were also many competitions which our lodge partook in such as the
Dance, Ceremonial and Website Competitions; all of which we did
fairly well in. The ceremonial team comprising of Frank Sturges,
Kevin Dills, John Mickey, and Dustin Counts won an honor from their
outstanding performance and our representation in the dance team,
Marcus Douthitt, placed nationally in the top ten and was allowed to
dance on stage at the awards stage show. Those who considered going
but opted not to truly missed out and most definitely should sign up
for next time which is going to be held at the University of
Michigan!
